Job Summary
Run day-to-day site operations, manage scheduling, inspections, quality control, and budget management while maintaining daily reports. Supervise workers and subcontractors to construct wood frame townhouses, duplexes, and single-family homes, ensuring compliance with contracts, building codes, and safety standards. Lead project meetings with stakeholders, coordinate site tasks and suppliers, and collaborate with the Project Manager to drive the construction schedule. Demonstrate leadership in health and safety and environmental protection, providing feedback, training, and coaching to team members. Requires valid driver's license, access to a vehicle for Tsawwassen, and flexibility for extended hours and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Site Superintendent on wood frame multifamily projects
- Minimum 3 years as a Superintendent
- Strong computer skills and experience having worked with multiple platforms and operating systems such as Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail etc) and experience with Procore Construction Management Platform and BluBeam
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of subcontractors and tradespeople
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and building codes relevant to wood frame construction in British Columbia
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions and procedures manuals
- Ability to guide safe work practices in a high pressure environment while maintaining project quality, schedule and budget
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism, integrity, and safety at all times
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficiency in construction management software
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as necessary to meet project deadlines
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle to travel to Tsawwassen
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as: Gold Seal Certification (GSC), Carpentry Trade Qualification, or Occupational First Aid (OFA)
