Job Summary
The Superintendent is responsible for exercising direct supervision over assigned commercial projects, ensuring high standards of workmanship and timely project completion while maximizing profits. This role includes collaborating with the Project Manager on project schedules and budgets, selecting methods and acquiring equipment, enforcing company safety policies, conducting meetings with subordinates and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with contract requirements. A high school diploma or GED and at least 7 years of relevant experience in construction are required.
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of progressively responsible experience in construction and management of field personnel
- Experience managing large groups of personnel
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, shop drawings and specifications
