Job Summary
Lead the management of energy and utilities operations at the Mobile site, overseeing electrical distribution, steam, water, natural gas, nitrogen, wastewater treatment, and environmental lab services to support tenants and internal customers. Drive safe, reliable, and efficient operations, monitor KPIs, minimize downtime and environmental incidents, and develop long-term strategies to keep EU services affordable and reliable. Lead technical professionals, technicians, and operators, ensure effective teamwork, provide training and development, and recognize outstanding performance. Identify new technologies, develop and implement processes for continuous improvement of EU functions, and support site sustainability and ISO50001 goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred
- 5+ years of operations and/or utility management experience within a multi-unit chemical plant, refinery, or industrial environment
- Strong leadership and customer service skills
- Experience as a plant, process, or production engineer in a chemical plant or refinery preferred
- In-depth knowledge of water-tube, gas-fired boilers and process steam systems
- Background in industrial wastewater treatment systems
- Experience with industrial electrical distribution systems
- 10+ years of supervisory experience managing technical professionals with knowledge of environmental regulations (RCRA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act)
