Job Summary
Lead, coordinate, and schedule electrical field personnel to meet project objectives while supervising construction activities and ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards. Optimize design drawings and field execution plans, then manage subcontractors and vendors to monitor progress, manpower, and productivity. Implement corrective actions as needed, prepare progress reports and cost tracking updates, and coordinate commissioning, turnover, and closeout activities. Enforce safety culture and OH&S standards while mentoring foremen, journeymen, and apprentices. Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders. Perform additional duties as required to support project success.
Required Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician Certificate
- 10+ years of industrial electrical construction experience in a contractor-based environment
- Previous experience in a Superintendent or senior leadership role
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems integration within industrial construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret Instrumentation, Electrical, and P&ID drawings
- Strong understanding of industrial construction techniques and work practices
- Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S regulations
- Demonstrated leadership in safety, workforce management, cost control, scheduling, and project execution
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Valid H2S Alive
- Fall Protection
- Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED)
- CSTS 2020
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work flexible schedules including overtime, weekends, and shift work
- Comfortable working in varied environments including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions
Desired Qualifications
- Red Seal preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project coordination software
