Job Summary
Superintendent needed on-site at Los Alamos National Laboratory to lead field construction activities for facility upgrades/renovations in active nuclear facilities. You will supervise multiple craft disciplines, conduct pre-job briefings, coordinate with union foremen and field personnel, and ensure safety, environmental, and quality compliance. Responsibilities include developing and monitoring project schedules with Primavera P6, reviewing work packages, coordinating materials and resources, interpreting drawings and engineering documents, leading constructability reviews, and supporting investigations of incidents. Requires 10 years of experience (5+ in construction/maintenance/field supervision), nuclear project experience, ability to read drawings, EVMS knowledge, and readiness to work night/weekend shifts; US citizenship and DOE Q security clearance eligibility are included prerequisites. The role is 100% onsite in Los Alamos, NM with night and weekend work obligations and does not specify relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of work experience, including 5+ years in construction, maintenance, facility operations, or field supervision
- Nuclear project or operational experience required
- Experience supporting or leading facility upgrades, renovations, modifications, or maintenance projects in an operating facility environment
- Leadership and supervisory skills to organize, direct, and coordinate craft personnel and subcontractors
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, piping, and construction drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Basic understanding of Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Basic understanding of Control Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities and reporting requirements
- Ability to establish and maintain strong customer engagement
- Must be available to work night and weekend schedules, and overtime as required

- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance
