Job Summary
Oversee all phases of construction projects from pre-construction to final walkthroughs, managing subcontractors, suppliers, and onsite personnel while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain project schedules, safety logs, and budgets, conduct regular site inspections, and review sub-contractor invoices. Foster relationships with clients, architects, and stakeholders, providing weekly progress reports to management and customers. Assist with detailed takeoffs and estimating. This role requires a leader with extensive experience in the Washington market to navigate complex exterior renovation projects, including roofing, carpentry, siding, and painting on multi-level structures. Travel between job sites in Washington and Oregon is required, with potential for extended hours or weekend work depending on project needs.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent
- Strong background in exterior multi-family / commercial construction
- Proficient in reading and understanding construction drawings and documents
- Extensive experience in roofing, carpentry / siding, windows/doors, and exterior painting on multi-level structures
- Ability to travel within Washington and boarding states on a regular basis
- Proven ability to manage large, complex projects with a focus on quality and safety
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction supervision or a similar role
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and on different types of terrain
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods
