Job Summary
Coordinate and supervise all on-site construction activities for federal projects, directing field personnel and subcontractors to meet schedule, budget, and safety mandates. Manage Definable Features of Work (DFOW), review plans and submittals, and maintain daily reports, logs, and documentation using USACE RMS or NAVFAC QCS. Enforce EM 385-1-1 safety requirements, conduct hazard inspections, and ensure full compliance with USACE/NAVFAC contract standards and labor laws. Track material costs, manage punch lists, and report progress to senior leadership. Requires 15+ years of experience, CQM certification, and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of construction experience
- 10+ years as a Superintendent on large commercial or federal projects
- Experience managing USACE or NAVFAC projects
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and project phases
- CQM Certification
- EM 385-1-1 Certification
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to obtain security clearance
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in active construction environments and varying weather conditions
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds and stand for extended periods
- Travel may be required depending on project needs
- Strong knowledge of Federal construction contract requirements
- Strong knowledge of Construction methods and materials
- Strong knowledge of Project scheduling and coordination
- Strong knowledge of Construction drawings and specifications
- Strong knowledge of Definable Features of Work (DFOW)
- Strong knowledge of Federal safety standards
- Experience with USACE RMS or NAVFAC QCS
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Experience with Dropbox
Desired Qualifications
- OSHA 30 preferred
- First Aid CPR AED
- Experience working on military bases or secure federal facilities
- Prior Secret or Top Secret clearance
- Experience with design-build federal projects
- Experience with MEP or infrastructure upgrades
