Job Summary
Concrete Project Superintendent who plans and coordinates concrete construction, supervises all concrete operations on-site, ensures quality work, maintains schedule, and follows project budgets. Responsibilities include coordinating with Operations managers for schedules, daily communication with Project Management, on-site supervision of concrete processes, enforcing budgeted manpower and material expenditures, organizing field labor, coordinating with subcontractors, preserving concrete quality, tracking daily/weekly progress, and reporting time for field manpower. Key competencies include extensive concrete construction knowledge (footings, walls, flatwork, tilt-up, paving), scheduling awareness, strong safety culture, ability to communicate with field labor in Spanish, effective listening and leadership, flexibility, negotiation, and receptiveness to feedback. Requires 10+ years in commercial/industrial concrete construction on multi-million-dollar projects, prior Concrete Superintendent experience, travel readiness (up to 100%), and demonstrated ability to maintain relationships across management, owners, trades, and subs; company promotes equal employment opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years experience in commercial/industrial concrete construction on projects of 2+ million
- Previous experience as a Concrete Superintendent is a must
- Ability to supervise construction employees and manage budget and schedule
- Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with Operations managers, Project Management, and subcontractors
- Spanish-speaking abilities to communicate with field labor
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 100% depending on project location
- Knowledge of safety practices and CSI safety culture
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with management, owners, trades and subcontractors
- Proficiency with technology and related resources
- Strong work ethic, team-oriented, able to balance multiple deadlines
- Experience with tilt-up construction preferred
- Understanding of project sequencing and scheduling in relation to other trades
