Job Summary
Concrete Project Superintendent who plans and coordinates concrete construction activities, supervises concrete portions of projects, ensures schedule adherence, and maintains budget and safety standards. Responsibilities include on-site supervision of concrete processes, daily coordination with project management and operations, tracking progress and labor/reporting, coordinating with subcontractors, and maintaining quality and productivity. Requires deep knowledge of concrete construction (footings, walls, tilt-up, flatwork, paving), scheduling/construction activity management, safety culture adherence, and effective communication with field labor (Spanish-speaking) and cross-functional teams. Travel may be up to 100% depending on project location. Prior experience as a concrete superintendent and a proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and field manpower are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in commercial/industrial concrete construction on projects of 2+ million
- Previous experience as a Concrete Superintendent is required
- Ability to supervise construction employees and manage within budget and schedule
- Willingness to travel up to 100% depending on project location
- Spanish speaking skills to communicate with field labor as needed
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to coordinate with operations managers and project management for scheduling and resource planning
- On-site supervision of concrete construction processes and ensuring quality and safety standards
