Job Summary
Manage sub contractors, oversee safety and quality, and drive schedules to achieve project milestones for a pivotal 50% complete MTO highway and bridge project in the GTA. Conduct 3 and 6-week look-ahead planning, manage contracts, and provide financial oversight on project status. Report progress to the Operations Manager while resolving site challenges autonomously. Requires 5+ years of superintendent experience with MTO projects and strong communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years or more in a superintendent role
- Knowledge of MTO contracts and construction methodologies
- Advanced knowledge of (MS Office, Outlook etc.)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Construction Management degree or diploma
- Experience on MTO highway and bridge construction projects in the Toronto area
- Experience as a lead or assistant Superintendent on 3 MTO projects completed
- Proven ability to manage sub trades
- Strong with driving a schedule to achieve project milestones
- Autonomy on the project site
- Provide progress updates
- Work through any potential challenges that arise
