Job Summary
Construction Superintendent responsible for planning, directing, and controlling building activities on assigned projects to ensure safety, on-schedule delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality standards. Responsibilities include enforcing the safety program across site activities, managing subcontractors, maintaining daily logs, coordinating with the Project Manager to develop and maintain the project schedule, overseeing punch lists and project closeout, ensuring quality standards, maintaining strong subcontractor relationships, and managing project documentation and procurement efforts. Requires leadership, effective communication, detail orientation, and ability to operate in a fast-paced commercial general contracting environment on mid-rise/multifamily or hospitality projects.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Some college coursework strongly preferred
- 5+ years of experience in commercial general contracting
- Experience in mid-rise construction, preferably multifamily or hospitality
- Demonstrated project lead or supervisory experience
- Professional demeanor and strong customer-relations approach
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
- Excellent time-management and independent work skills
- High attention to detail with strong written communication abilities
- Effective leadership and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all organizational levels
