Job Summary
Coordinate and supervise all construction activities, directing field personnel to achieve project completion on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship. Build and maintain construction schedules while identifying and solving problems, reading project plans, and acting as a technical professional for the estimating team. Lead project teams in planning execution, preparing field reports and payment applications, and performing constructability reviews to find value engineering opportunities. Promote job site safety, rectify hazards immediately, and maintain positive relationships with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers. Travel as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years' experience in construction with at least 5 of those years as a superintendent on projects similar in size and complexity
- OSHA 30 certification
- US citizenship
- Experience with projects ranging from $1M to $30M
- Valid driver's license
- Associate or bachelor's degree
- Ability to analyze problems and make sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications, and costs
- Knowledge of the estimating process
- Skilled supervising all aspects of construction projects for various types of clients and project delivery methods
- Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet deadlines
- Mobility: must be able to stoop, kneel, reach, walk, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions
- Hearing: must be able to hear audible safety alarms
- Visual Acuity: must be adequate to perform the above listed tasks in a safe manner and perform activities such as viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading
- Lifting: must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body
