Job Summary
Superintendent oversees field staff on commercial interior/building renovations in Atlanta; manages carpenters, laborers, and subcontractors; ensures projects are built per plans and specs; coordinates materials/tools/information/staff to the jobsite; handles daily reports, time sheets, safety reports, and accident reports; serves as a visible team member in the Atlanta market; interfaces with the client’s leadership to communicate schedule and challenges; conducts site walks to ensure standards and supports quality control and punch list processes; requires 8 years of lead superintendent experience and experience managing projects up to $10M; high school diploma and two years of college preferred or equivalent experience.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years experience as lead superintendent on commercial interior, retail, building renovation projects
- Expertise with managing projects up to $10M
- Experience directing subcontractors and scheduling all work according to the project schedule
- High school diploma and two years of college preferred; or equivalent years of experience required
- Proven track record of independent judgment and decision-making when faced with matters of confidential or non-routine nature
- Display exemplary performance in all project safety related categories
- Interface with the client and client's leadership team at the highest level on schedule, updates, and challenges while effectively communicating plans and alternative solutions
- Periodically audit jobsites during site walks to ensure standards are being met
- Assist teams with complex and specialty quality control issues
- Assist teams with pre-punch walks to identify quality trends and ensure smooth/timely punch list process
- Act as point of contact to client
- Perform other duties as assigned
