Job Summary
Oversee project planning, scheduling, and daily yard operations to ensure timely, cost-effective construction while maintaining strict safety and quality standards. Coordinate administration, scheduling, and construction functions; represent the company with the owner regarding claims, change orders, and back charges. Monitor progress, implement safety and environmental policies, and ensure compliance with local legislative requirements and union agreements. Direct project staff discipline and morale, review cost reports for profit accuracy, and assist in the bid process. Maintain valid Ontario driver's license and ability to travel within the province.
Required Qualifications
- Technical school background
- At least five years of construction experience
- Experience in the Utility Contracting Industry
- Working computer proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Sound knowledge of construction techniques, practices, and fundamentals
- Experience with contract and subcontract management
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships and work within a team environment
- Strong organizational and time management
- Valid Ontario (G) driver's license
- Ability to travel within Ontario as required
