Job Summary
Lead safety culture and execute safety plans, hazard assessments, and mentorship for all employees and subcontractors in compliance with provincial legislation. Direct foremen on productivity issues, monitor work performance, and translate drawings into prioritized work plans to minimize downtime. Coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors to meet production goals while tracking quality control, resource requirements, and labour relations. Oversee daily field logs, quality inspections, and HSE reports to ensure work meets standards and schedules. Manage equipment and labour resources to forecast production, schedules, and budgets. Work the project schedule including overtime, weekends, and night shifts.
Required Qualifications
- 15 years' experience in heavy civil construction projects
- minimum of 5 years' experience in a supervisory position overseeing and directing staff and subcontractors
- Knowledge and understanding of Ontario Building Code

- Thorough knowledge of applicable OH&S legislation
- Exceptional ability to multitask in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills
- Proficient computer skills in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must have a valid class G driver's license
- Flexibility to work the project schedule which may include overtime, weekends and/or night shift as required
