Job Summary
Provide companionship, engage in community activities, and assist with daily living skills and care needs. Administer medications following medical guidelines, ensure mealtime safety, and maintain a safe, clean environment. Transport individuals as needed while documenting activities and communicating updates to the care team. Monitor physical and well-being, implement behavior support plans, and guide individuals through challenges to promote independence. Work 12-hour shifts with a 3-on-4-off schedule, earning $16.50/hour weekdays and $24.75/hour weekends. Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and successful completion of internal training including CPR/FA and medication certification are required.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of Emory Valley Center's internal training (e.g. CPR/FA, Medication Certification, etc.)
- Successful completion of background check from age 18 to present and Employment history from age 18 to present
- Caring and responsible personality required
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years
- Physical ability to assist individuals and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid TN Driver's License (Required) with a clean 3-year driving record
- Annual registry, background, and motor vehicle record reviews
