Job Summary
Lead and develop a credentialing team, providing coaching, training, performance management, and timekeeping oversight for direct reports. Oversee provider credentialing, licensing, privileging, re-credentialing, and onboarding processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Manage operational workflows including application readiness review, credentialing file path assessment, worklist management, and credentialing software updates. Collaborate with internal leadership, local practices, providers, and external clients to ensure timely processing, communication, and stakeholder satisfaction. Monitor team performance metrics, manage escalated issues, conduct audits, and identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
Required Qualifications
- 4–6 years of credentialing or healthcare operations experience
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred
- Certification such as Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) through the National Association of Medical Staff Services preferred
- Experience with credentialing software
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and project management skills with the ability to manage remote teams
