Job Summary
Receive, monitor, and evaluate gate operations for incoming guests while ensuring accurate documentation and verification. Direct guests to appropriate locations using maps and quality phone etiquette, then dispatch relevant communication updates and alerts to staff during emergencies. Use two-way radio systems to communicate with local authorities and continuously monitor weather software to provide immediate updates to the property. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while remaining calm and vigilant during stressful situations. Provide level 1 operator training and model the Scout Oath and Law in all daily interactions. Work up to 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced environment, adhering to SBR policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age: 18+
- Successfully pass competency training providing during orientation
- Proficient in communications systems such as email, texting, internet, software navigation, Word, and Excel
- Able to work up to 12 hour shifts
- Willing to become a registered Scouting America member (includes background screening)
- Comfortable using Microsoft Teams for daily work-related communication
- Ability to stand, walk, and hike, up to 2 hours daily
- Ability to lift/move up to 70 pounds
- Complete the Annual Health and Medical Record, including height/weight guidelines
Desired Qualifications
- 2+ years in related experience or SBR work experience
- High emotional intelligence (such as self/social awareness and team dynamics)
- Positive and cheerful attitude with a strong customer-service focus
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment with ability to learn/develop hard and soft skills
- Ability to connect with individuals from diverse age groups, maturity, and backgrounds
