Job Summary
Member-focused role providing transactions processing, resolving account issues, answering member questions, and cross-selling CEFCU products and services. Emphasizes strong sales and service through strategic questioning, adherence to regulatory requirements (Bank Secrecy Act, identity theft red flags, elder financial exploitation, robbery procedures), and delivering a professional member experience. Requires flexibility in scheduling (including Saturdays) and multitasking across cashiering, receptionist duties, and office responsibilities; emphasizes customer satisfaction, teamwork, and building long-term member relationships using CEFCU mainframe and various third-party systems, with exposure to CEFCU Investment and Financial Services offerings.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years’ customer service experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be eligible to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registration (NMLS) to comply with SAFE Act
- Formal Member Assistant Training module completion (including continuing education related to Bank Secrecy Act, Identity Theft – Red Flags, Elderly Abuse/Financial Exploitation and robbery procedures)
- Proficient operation and knowledge in CEFCU mainframe applications and third-party systems (Teller Encore System, VSoft, Instant OFAC, OnBase, Quick Assist True Checks, Lobby Tracking, Branch Appointments)
- Basic operation and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to balance Cashier’s Checks and Money Orders; receptionist duties; telephone etiquette; brochure and rate updates
- Cross-training as receptionist within one year, if applicable
- Proven record of relationship building, sales and servicing skills (preferred)
- Thorough knowledge of CEFCU products and services (preferred)
- Applicable college courses and/or commensurate experience (preferred)
- Compliance with Federal and State Regulations governing Financial Institutions
- Drive-up and Lobby schedule requirements including Saturdays
- NMLS registration eligibility
