Job Summary
Summer Youth Driver tasked with safely transporting youth across Cuyahoga County for work-experience opportunities in non-CDL equipped vans. Responsibilities include performing pre-route checks, assisting passengers on/off, following designated routes or reporting changes to the Transportation Manager, maintaining daily trip logs and mileage records, providing high levels of customer service, cleaning and servicing the vehicle bi-weekly, managing fuel and vehicle accessories, securing the vehicle after shifts, and complying with safety and reporting guidelines. Requires HS diploma or GED and a driving record within policy limits, plus successful background checks; shifts run Monday–Friday 7:45am–3:15pm from June 8 to August 14, 2026; status is nonexempt.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or GED plus two years experience driving
- Driving record with no more than four points within last three years
- Must pass criminal background check requirements and Medicaid database checks
- Must be approved by agency driving insurance company
