Job Summary
Plan, supervise, and implement Character and Leadership programs for youth ages 6 to 18 as part of Boys & Girls Clubs activities; recruit/retain youth for Character and Leadership programs; coordinate with staff to deliver field trips, guest speakers, and program activities; ensure safety and a positive environment; provide guidance and role modeling; participate in local, state, regional, and national Boys & Girls Clubs Character and Leadership programs; may involve evenings/weekends and driving the Club van; requires High School diploma or GED and a Level 2 background screening.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to pass DCF Level II background screening and drug test
- Knowledge of youth development
- Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior issues
- Ability to work with the public
- Ability to plan and implement quality programs specific to Character and Leadership
- Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
