Job Summary
Summer VPK Teacher responsibilities include managing a safe, nurturing classroom, serving as a role model to foster a growth mindset, implementing the L.E.A.P. Curriculum for VPK students, planning and delivering lesson plans, utilizing diverse learning modalities, maintaining communication with parents, collaborating with center staff, and building strong relationships with families to support enrollment and engagement. Qualifications require a Bachelor's degree or Florida Teaching Certificate (ECE or related field), with 1 year minimum teaching experience and preferred 2+ years. CPR/First Aid preferred; must meet state guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field or Florida Teaching Certificate
- Minimum requirement: At least one year of professional teaching experience
- Preferred: 2+ years of professional teaching experience in a daycare, preschool, or kindergarten setting
- Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP)
- Preferred: CPR and First Aid certification
- Must meet state-specific guidelines and possess the required certifications for the role
