Job Summary
Summer Tree Care Intern responsible for mixing and applying treatments to control insects and diseases and to improve tree health; gain hands-on experience in urban forestry; training provided in a 100% employee-owned local company; duties include applying treatments, monitoring tree health, electronically recording treated trees, and communicating with homeowners in a professional manner; internship supports college credit and may fulfill degree requirements (e.g., urban forestry, environmental science); start/end dates flexible for summer; location-based on Minnetonka, Little Canada, or Burnsville; full-time seasonal internship with overtime; includes paid training and advancement opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work full days outdoors with possible overtime in all terrain and inclement weather
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Safety precautions must be followed at all times including PPE
