Job Summary
Fulfill client weigh order requests by precisely measuring chemical compounds per instructions, performing tare, weight capture, and gross weigh operations. Verify compounds match order details, confirm glove boxes are charged with nitrogen, and follow standard operating procedures outlined on the Daily Assessment Sheet. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by wiping down areas, cleaning utensils, restocking supplies, and removing trash. Wear personal protective equipment including lab coats, gloves, and face masks while handling chemicals. This summer/temporary role supports Frontier Scientific's outsourced compound management services for R&D organizations worldwide.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to sit for extended periods
- Ability to use fine motor skills and handle chemicals to weigh small quantity vials
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements to perform weigh duties
- Able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including lab coat, gloves and face mask while performing job duties
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience working with small weight scales 0.00001g to 120g
- Thorough attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of on demand work flows in a warehouse/distribution facility
- Ability to follow directions and retain information on projects/processes
- Experience of general lab/warehouse safety and chemical compliance
