Job Summary
Co-lead academic and co-curricular programs with Lead and Associate Teachers while supporting students through one-on-one interventions, small group instruction, and classroom assessments. Manage student transitions, meals, and dismissal, and communicate effectively with families and colleagues as needed. Participate in a six-week paid program from July 14 to August 21, 2025, including an orientation session in early July. Receive a $4,000 stipend with free housing and meals, alongside ongoing professional development. This fellowship prepares current college juniors and seniors for urban education careers within Christina Seix Academy's Pre-K to 8th grade boarding school.
Required Qualifications
- Current standing as an undergraduate college junior or senior, or recent graduate
- Availability during our full 6 week program, Monday through Thursday, from July 14th to August 21, 2025
- U.S. citizen or legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.75
- Strong interest in pursuing a full-time teaching or similar role upon graduation
- Proven commitment to working in urban education
- Passion for designing and leading creative academic, athletic, and artistic learning experiences
- Evidence of grit, strong work ethic and willingness to implement feedback
- A high degree of self-reflectiveness, professionalism, and flexibility
- Belief in and alignment with Christina Seix Academy's core beliefs and educational philosophy
