Job Summary
Assist instructors with the AoPS curriculum and materials; provide one-on-one support to students during summer camp activities; help manage classrooms of up to 16 students; assist in grading and providing constructive feedback on student work; contribute to a collaborative learning environment that fosters critical thinking and academic curiosity; requires strong Math, Language Arts and/or Science skills and excellent written/spoken communication; candidates must be 16 or older and legally authorized to work in the US; in-person role at the Gaithersburg campus with a Monday–Friday summer schedule; includes benefits and professional development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 16 years old or older
- Strong Math, Language Arts and/or Science skills
- Ability to help students navigate advanced concepts
- Exceptional written and spoken communication
- Positive and encouraging attitude
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Familiarity with AoPS curriculum not required (but a plus)
- No prior teaching experience or education coursework required
Additional Requirements
- Legally authorized to work in the US
- Sponsorship not offered (including STEM-OPT and H-1B)
- Gaithersburg, MD or DMV area able to commute to campus
