Job Summary
Join Buckner International as a Summer Staff Activities Intern, where you'll support the Activities team by facilitating recreational activities and ensuring safety and enjoyment for guests at Camp Buckner. Responsibilities include assisting with challenge course, lifeguarding, and archery activities, maintaining activity areas and equipment, participating in safety inspections, and providing customer service. This internship requires a High School Diploma, with the ability to obtain necessary certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and challenge course training. Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in dynamic settings are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (or G.E.D.)
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to work in dynamic environments and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods and work under pressure
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Desired Qualifications
- Willingness to obtain and maintain certifications in Lifeguarding and Waterfront Skills
- Willingness to obtain and maintain CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and Health Care Providers certification
- Willingness to obtain and maintain Level 1 challenge course certification
