Job Summary
Temp 1st shift role responsible for measuring, inspecting, testing and re-spooling wire and cable in preparation for shipping or next operation. Duties include operating sparking machine, selecting proper settings, applying sparking voltage, testing with voltage and continuity testers, visually inspecting for insulation defects, using a micrometer to verify conductor size and insulation centering, tagging reels per specs, identifying defective materials, reporting malfunctions, maintaining a clean workspace, and willingness to cross-train on other machines. Requires attention to detail, basic arithmetic, teamwork, and ability to work a flexible schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Knowledge of arithmetic including decimals and fractions
- Ability to read specifications and use measurement instruments
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
- Comfort with physical effort (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
