Job Summary
Design wells, troubleshoot real-time construction issues, and optimize production systems across drilling, completion, and intervention disciplines. Support offshore teams by adjusting plans for unexpected obstacles and mobilizing contingencies while leveraging technology to drive efficiency. Diagnose underperforming wells, execute corrective treatments, and manage subsea well interfaces to maintain integrity and extend well life. Participate in live projects using the latest equipment, complete required offshore safety training, and work within a multidisciplinary team alongside experienced professionals.
Required Qualifications
- Working toward a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or closely related discipline
- Graduating between December 2027 and May 2028
- Current Cumulative GPA Minimum 3.2
- Eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions (bp will not support U.S. Immigration sponsorship for full-time or long-term employment)
- Must be available to start 12-week internship on May 17, 2027 or June 14, 2027
- Must be able to travel offshore
- Must complete specific training to travel offshore and meet offshore safety and emergency response requirements (such as HUET)
- Must have a valid TWIC card (Transportation Workers Identification Credential)
