Job Summary
Summer Intern - Counselor role provides constant supervision and guidance to youth participants in the dorm, during instruction and throughout the city of Chicago, including supervision during activities and transportation, assistance with meals and daily living, and documentation. Responsibilities include on-the-job instruction, promoting social interaction among participants, maintaining safety procedures, and projecting a professional agency image while supporting youth participation in the Summer in the City Program for the Chicago Lighthouse for People Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired. Requires high school diploma (or equivalent) or 20 college credit hours preferred, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to provide continuous supervision throughout the program.
