Job Summary
The Speech Pathologist will screen and evaluate Pre-K through 21-time students for articulation, voice, language, and fluency disorders; administer screenings, write evaluations and IEP goals for students undergoing evaluation; generate concise clinical reports and maintain longitudinal records; participate in the IEP team and Medicaid logging; adhere to state and federal regulations; collaborates with Pre-K Department staff and families; performs assigned duties related to evaluation processes and reporting; position is temporary for the summer program (July 6–Aug 20, 2026) with pay rate $40/hr contingent upon funding.
Required Qualifications
- Masters or equivalency in speech language pathology
- Ability to screen, evaluate, diagnose, and remediate communication disorders of students, three to twenty-one years of age
- Ability to develop and implement appropriate goals and objectives for each individual student
- Training in completing the COS forms as part of the evaluation process
- Current Rhode Island Teacher Certificate(s) in appropriate subject area PK-12 Speech Pathologist
- Bilingual endorsement
- ESL Preferred
