Job Summary
Lead camp operations at the Cleveland Racquet Club by supervising daily swim time, planning weekly schedules, and assigning tasks to your counselor team. Greet families upon arrival, establish rules, and manage parent expectations during drop-off and pick-up while addressing camper behavior issues and complaints in real-time. Complete daily and weekly administrative tasks electronically, shop for supplies within budget, and check in with the KE Camps Office to update on camp progress. You will supervise counselors in a supportive manner, ensure camper safety, and adjust plans as needed to create a memorable experience for elementary-aged children. This full-time role requires CPR/First Aid certification and availability from June 8 through August 14.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge and expertise in the area of program planning
- Ability to lead a team
- Ability to guard the health and well-being of campers at all times
- Capable of sustaining energy for participation in a full day's worth of activities
- Ability to make decisions and adjust plans in real-time
- Prior experience working with children in a leadership position
- Effective communication skills and public speaking ability
- Enthusiastic, Responsible, Dependable, Consistent, Level-Headed, Flexible, and Calm in all situations
- CPR/First Aid Certified OR willing to become certified before the summer begins
- Must be available to work the full camp season
- Must be available to work Monday-Friday from June 8 through August 14
