Job Summary
Greet families and campers upon arrival, participate in all camp activities, and supervise daily swim time from within the water. Assist the Camp Director in establishing rules, emergency procedures, and leading activities while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of every child. Build relationships with campers to help them make friends and try new things, cooperating with fellow Counselors to create a memorable experience. Work with a group of elementary-aged children to foster character growth and insights throughout the full camp season.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children
- CPR/First Aid Certified
- willing to become certified before the summer begins
- must be available to work the full camp season
- Ability to help children grow in character, experiences and insights
- Ability to guard the health and well-being of campers at all times
- Capable of sustaining energy for participation in a full day's worth of activities
