Job Summary
Greet families and campers upon arrival, supervise daily swim time hands-on, and participate in all camp activities to create a memorable experience for elementary-aged children. Assist your Camp Director in establishing rules, emergency procedures, and leading activities while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of every camper. Cooperate with fellow Counselors and manage group dynamics to help children grow in character and try new things. You must be available to work the full camp season from Tuesday-Friday, June 16 through July 24, at Forest Lake Country Club in Bloomfield Hills, MI.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children
- CPR/First Aid Certified OR willing to become certified before the summer begins
- Must be available to work the full camp season
- Ability to help children grow in character, experiences and insights
- Ability to guard the health and well-being of campers at all times
- Capable of sustaining energy for participation in a full day's worth of activities
- Enthusiastic, Responsible, Dependable, Consistent, Level-Headed, Flexible, and Calm in all situations
