Job Summary
Greet families and campers upon arrival, supervise daily swim time hands-on, and lead activities as an active participant in all camp programs. Assist the Camp Director in establishing rules and emergency procedures while ensuring the physical and emotional safety of every child. Cooperate with fellow Counselors to create a fun, safe, and meaningful experience for elementary-aged campers. You will work Monday through Friday from July 6 through August 14 at The Pittsburgh Golf Club in Pittsburgh, PA, with full season availability required. This role offers the potential for course credit as a competitively paid internship, supervised by an on-site Camp Director and a HQ contact in Skillman, NJ.
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children
- CPR/First Aid Certified OR willing to become certified before the summer begins
- Must be available to work the full camp season
- Ability to help children grow in character, experiences and insights
- Ability to guard the health and well-being of campers at all times
- Capable of sustaining energy for participation in a full day's worth of activities
- Enthusiastic, Responsible, Dependable, Consistent, Level-Headed, Flexible, and Calm in all situations
