Job Summary
As a Summer Cook at Compass Early Learning and Care (CELC) in Minden, you will support the nutrition specialist by planning, prepping, and cooking nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with the Canada Food Guide, Ministry of Education, and CELC policies. You will maintain a clean kitchen space, ensure safety and cleanliness of equipment and materials, and collaborate with Educators and the Nutrition Specialist. You will help build relationships with staff, volunteers, students, community partners, and school teams in shared spaces, and prepare food with awareness of children's allergies and sensitivities.
Required Qualifications
- Canada Summer Jobs requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- experience in a kitchen environment
- experience in childcare or a summer camp setting
- Valid Food Handler's certificate
- Clear Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
- Updated immunization records
