Job Summary
The Summer Community Organizing Fellow role supports Equality Florida’s Field Department through hybrid, mostly-virtual advocacy and in-person presence for grassroots outreach. Responsibilities include identifying progressive/LGBTQ events to raise visibility, training and recruiting volunteers, collecting stories, mobilizing Equality Florida’s membership to attend field events, helping manage events with the Field Organizer, and assisting in the approval/passage of pro-equality policies. Successful fellows should be organized, detail-oriented, comfortable speaking with diverse people, and able to work with a reliable smartphone and laptop; occasional weekend and weeknight availability is required. Pay is $15/hour (South Florida applicants $18/hour) with a 12-hour-per-week commitment, and the fellowship runs 6/15/26 through 8/28/26, located in Tallahassee and South Florida.
