Job Summary
Lead counselor for Steve & Kate's Camp youngest campers (ages 4-5). Implement and manage the structure of the camp day, supervise a team of support staff, and ensure the baseline needs of young campers are met. Engage in self-directed activities, foster conversations with staff, campers, and parents, take ownership of a mini-program, and maintain calm under pressure while ensuring safety. Responsibilities include camp setup and breakdown during move-in/move-out weekends, supervising 4-12 year olds, and potential field trips. Must be comfortable lifting up to 40 pounds and have First Aid & CPR certification prior to Day 1. Position requires in-person presence at the Jacksonville location and availability during the 6/1/2026 – 7/31/2026 period, with an 8:00 am–6:00 pm schedule and weekend setup/orientation as needed.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 2 months experience working with camp–age children, with 1 year preferred
- First Aid & CPR certified prior to Day 1 of Camp
- Chaperone campers on off-site Field Trips where locations demand
