Job Summary
Staff members will facilitate activities, monitor safety and wellness, and supervise campers in a dynamic, play-forward environment. Responsibilities include actively supervising campers, maintaining organized and approachable activity spaces, ensuring compliance with Camp Policies, reporting notable concerns or incidents, noting camper allergies and dietary restrictions, and adding daily updates/photos to camper profiles. Activities span sewing, stop-motion animation, maker space, performing arts, arts and crafts, recreation, and more, with rotating support roles and opportunities to lead groups of 4–12 year olds. Strong candidates are calm under pressure, able to guide kids in decision-making, collaborative, and physically capable of meeting the camp’s energetic pace. First Aid & CPR certification is required prior to start, and some locations may require additional certifications. The role is in-person at the Weehawken, NJ camp with hours from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm (shifts vary), June 22, 2026 to August 28, 2026, including setup and breakdown weekends.
Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years of age
- Minimum of 2 months experience working with camp–age children, with 1 year preferred, in either a professional, personal or volunteer setting.
- First Aid & CPR certified prior to Day 1 of Camp (some locations may require additional certifications)
