Job Summary
Summer Camp Substitute Counselor at Steve & Kate's Camp in Pleasanton, CA. Responsibilities include actively supervising campers aged 4-12, facilitating activities across sewing, stop-motion animation, maker space, performing arts, arts and crafts, and other rotating roles; maintaining organized and welcoming activity spaces; ensuring safety and compliance with camp policies; reporting notable concerns and incidents; monitoring camper allergies and dietary restrictions; updating camper profiles with daily notes and photos; and supporting setup/breakdown during move-in/move-out weekends. Must be able to work 8:00 am–6:00 pm during the camp dates (6/1/2026–7/17/2026) with additional orientation. Minimum age 16 and prior experience with camp-age children plus First Aid & CPR certification are required; the position is in-person at the Pleasanton site with local travel possibly required; compensation ranges from $20.25–$22.75 per hour, reflecting experience.
