Job Summary
Staff members facilitate activities, supervise campers, and monitor safety and wellness at Steve & Kate's Camp. Activities include sewing, stop-motion animation, maker space, performing arts, arts and crafts, recreation, and more. Needs include ability to actively supervise children, maintain organized activity spaces, follow camp policies, and report notable concerns or injuries. Requires First Aid & CPR certification prior to Day 1 and comfort supervising groups of 4–12 year olds; candidates should be calm under pressure, able to collaborate with a team, and physically capable of supporting active campers. Position is in-person at 830 Whitney Ave, New Haven, CT during 6/15/2026–8/21/2026 (8:00 am–6:00 pm with variable shifts), with potential weekend setup/breakdown and orientation; minimum age 16 and experience with camp-age children is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years of age
- Minimum of 2 months experience working with camp–age children, with 1 year preferred, in either a professional, personal or volunteer setting.
- First Aid & CPR certified prior to Day 1 of Camp
- Chaperone campers on an off-site Field Trip where locations demand (may be required)
