Job Summary
Summer Camp Substitute Counselor needed at Steve & Kate's Camp in Denver. Responsibilities include facilitating activities, supervising campers, maintaining organized activity spaces, and ensuring safety and wellness; roles may involve creating/overseeing activity spaces (e.g., sewing, stop-motion animation, maker space, performing arts, arts and crafts) or rotating support duties. Requires ability to supervise groups of children (ages 4-12), adaptability to varying shift schedules (8:00 am–6:00 pm), willingness to assist with camp setup and breakdown on move-in/move-out weekends, and adherence to camp policies. Must have 18+ years old, 2+ months experience with camp-aged children (1 year preferred), and First Aid & CPR certification prior to Day 1. In-person work at camp location with potential off-site field trips; immunization/health screening requirements may apply. Hourly wage $20.00-$22.50; employment period 6/8/2026–8/14/2026 with orientation date. Deadline to apply: April 15, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- Minimum of 2 months experience working with camp–age children, with 1 year preferred
- First Aid & CPR certified prior to Day 1 of Camp
