Job Summary
Summer Camp Substitute Counselor will supervise and engage campers aged 4-12, facilitate activities across sewing, stop-motion animation, maker space, performing arts, arts and crafts; maintain safety and wellness; support setting up and overseeing activity spaces; report notable concerns and injuries; track camper allergies and dietary restrictions; and contribute to camper profiles with daily updates and photos. Roles include actively supervising campers, maintaining organized activity spaces, ensuring compliance with camp policies, and collaborating with the director and other staff to deliver diverse, creative activities during the 6/22–8/28 summer camp period; weekend setup/breakdown may be required; First Aid & CPR certification and prior camp experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years of age
- Minimum of 2 months experience working with camp-age children, with 1 year preferred
- First Aid & CPR certified prior to Day 1 of Camp
- In-person work at camp location
- Capacity to supervise and engage groups of children ages 4-12
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
- Comfort leading groups and collaborating with a team
