Job Summary
Facilitate activities, supervise campers, and monitor safety and wellness at a New York City–area camp. Roles include overseeing activity spaces or rotating support tasks, with activities such as sewing, stop-motion animation, maker space, performing arts, arts and crafts, lounging, and recreation. Maintain organized spaces, report notable concerns or incidents, track camper allergies and dietary restrictions, and contribute to daily camper profiles with updates and photos. Requirements include being at least 16 years old, 2+ months of camp-age child experience (1 year preferred), and First Aid & CPR certification prior to Day 1. Physical duties include standing for long periods, supervising groups of 4–12 year olds, assisting in setup/breakdown, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. The role emphasizes calmness under pressure, collaboration with a team, and a willingness to engage creatively with campers while upholding camp policies.
Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years of age
- Minimum of 2 months experience working with camp–age children, with 1 year preferred
- First Aid & CPR certified prior to Day 1 of Camp
