Job Summary
Food Service Worker at a Summer camp who will prepare and serve meals to campers and staff, ensure food quality and safety per Genuine Foods standards, coordinate with teammates to have meals ready on time, keep kitchen and serving areas clean, stock and organize workspaces, and report issues to the Site Lead. Role requires engaging with campers, providing positive customer service, and supporting compliance with the USDA National School Lunch Program. Schedule runs 10:00am–4:00pm with weekends required; opportunities to learn culinary skills and advance within the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Must be flexible & team-oriented
- Previous food or customer service experience/training in a mid-high volume food service facility or restaurant
- Willingness to learn the compliance requirements of the USDA National School Lunch Program
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and level-headedness
- Punctual and able to adhere to the time and attendance policy
- Able to climb stairs and lift up to 50 lbs
- Interest in and commitment to Genuine Foods’ mission to use food to help students enhance their minds, bodies, and happiness
- Must be able to work in a camp environment with children
