Job Summary
On-site Food Ops staff member responsible for supporting and running the camp's food program: preparing and serving snacks and lunch, ordering and managing food-service items, maintaining kitchen and food service spaces in sanitary condition, and assisting with camper interactions in a structured camp setting. Responsibilities include supervising campers, organizing activity spaces, ensuring policy compliance, recording notable incidents and injuries, tracking camper allergies/dietary restrictions, and updating camper profiles with daily photos. Training is provided; minimal cooking required as entrees are fully prepared. Requires strong organization, multitasking, punctuality, and ability to engage with campers and staff.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 months experience working with camp–age children, with 1 year preferred, in either a professional, personal or volunteer setting.
- First Aid & CPR certified prior to Day 1 of Camp (some locations may require additional certifications)
- ServeSafe Food Handler Certification (provided if needed)
