Job Summary
Steve & Kate's Camp seeks a Summer Camp Counselor to help facilitate activities, supervise campers, and maintain safe, engaging spaces for 4- to 12-year-olds during the 6/15/2026–8/21/2026 period (with setup/breakdown weekends and orientation). Responsibilities include actively supervising campers, creating/overseeing activity spaces, ensuring compliance with camp policies, recording notable incidents and injuries, tracking allergies and dietary needs, and updating camper profiles with daily notes and photos. The role involves leading or supporting diverse activities (e.g., sewing, stop-motion animation, maker space, performing arts, arts and crafts, rec) and collaborating with a team to support campers’ decision-making, safety, and well-being. Candidates should be calm under pressure, able to guide groups while collaborating with others, and maintain stamina to engage energetic 4–12 year olds; the position emphasizes leadership, creativity, and a playful, inclusive attitude.
Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years of age
- Minimum of 2 months experience working with camp–age children, with 1 year preferred
- First Aid & CPR certified prior to Day 1 of Camp (some locations may require additional certifications)
