Job Summary
Guiding kids through self-directed activities and ensuring camper safety and wellness at Steve & Kate's Camp. Responsibilities include actively supervising campers, organizing/overseeing activity spaces (sewing, stop-motion animation, maker space, performing arts, arts and crafts, recreation), recording notable incidents and allergies, and updating camper profiles with daily photos. Requires experience with camp-age children, the ability to lead groups, stay calm under pressure, and certification in First Aid & CPR before Day 1. In-person, on-site role at the Des Moines location during the summer camp dates with potential field trips and setup/breakdown weekends.
Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years of age
- Minimum of 2 months experience working with camp–age children, with 1 year preferred
- First Aid & CPR certified prior to Day 1 of Camp
- Possibility of chaperoning campers on off-site Field Trips as locations demand
- In-person work at a schooled-aged camp setting and adherence to safety/health policies
