Job Summary
Summer Camp Counselor for Steve & Kate's Camp in Jacksonville, FL. Responsibilities include actively supervising campers, facilitating activities, creating/overseeing activity spaces, ensuring safety and wellness, and reporting notable concerns or injuries. Roles may involve rotating support duties such as sewing, stop-motion animation, maker space, performing arts, arts and crafts, lounging, and recreation. Requires guiding groups of 4-12 year olds, collaborating with a team, maintaining organized spaces, and adhering to camp policies. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, stand for long periods, and participate in field trips as needed. First Aid & CPR certification prior to start, with in-person camp duties at a Jacksonville location. Compensation is hourly at $15.50-$18.00 with a June–July camp schedule and potential weekend setup/breakdown. • At least 16 years old • 2 months minimum camp experience, 1 year preferred • In-person, on-site role in a school-aged setting; orientation and site-specific requirements apply.
Required Qualifications
- At least 16 years of age
- Minimum of 2 months experience working with camp–age children, with 1 year preferred, in either a professional, personal or volunteer setting.
- First Aid & CPR certified prior to Day 1 of Camp
