Job Summary
Join CORA as a Summer Camp Counselor to mentor and lead campers during a summer filled with activities like arts and crafts and outdoor games. Responsibilities include building relationships with a small group of campers, facilitating large group activities, implementing camp curriculum focused on literacy, STEM, and social-emotional learning, and ensuring camper safety through active supervision. Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and have experience working with children, along with strong communication and group management skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working with children in a summer camp, school, OST/after-school, recreational, or similar setting
- Positive energy, professionalism, and commitment to youth development
- Strong group management and communication skills
- Dedication to safety, supervision, and creating an enjoyable camp experience
Desired Qualifications
- Previous camp leadership experience
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Bilingual skills (Spanish, Mandarin, etc.)
Additional Requirements
- Staff must be able to commit to all 7.5 weeks of summer camp with orientation. No vacation time will be approved.
